🦋Crochet Butterfly Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn (2 colors – e.g., pink + yellow)

  • 4.0 mm crochet hook

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors

Pattern Instructions:

  1. Magic Ring & Round 1

    • Make a magic ring.

    • Chain 3, then 11 double crochets (dc) into ring.

    • Slip stitch (sl st) to join. (12 stitches total)

  2. Crochet the Wings

    • Chain 3, 2 dc, chain 2, 3 dc in next stitch, sl st in next stitch.

    • Repeat this around to form 4 wings.

  3. Change Color & Antennae

    • Join new color in center.

    • Chain 5, slip stitch in center.

    • Chain 5 again, slip stitch for antennae.

  4. Shape the Butterfly

    • Single crochet (sc) between wings, chain 2, slip stitch in center to define body shape.

  5. Finish & Secure Ends

    • Fasten off and weave in ends neatly.

    6. ✨ Result: A delicate butterfly with pink wings, yellow body, and black antennae — perfect for embellishing bags, clips, or coasters.
